Fully Screened Childcare Professionals
The Application Process Includes:
- Years of professional childcare experience (2 -3 years required)
- At least 2 to 3 professional references verifying past positions
- Proof of valid child and infant CPR certifications
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Detailed explanation of experience with infants
- Detailed explanation of experience with special needs children
- Detailed explanation of experience with children with severe allergies
Thorough Background Check Includes:
- Statewide Criminal Record search which includes any state the sitter has lived in for the past seven years
- National Sex Offender Registry
- Motor Vehicle Report
- Social Security Number and Identity Verification

Nanny Share
Backup Childcare
- You can utilize our as-needed babysitters if your regular sitter or nanny is unavailable due to illness or an unexpected conflict. If backup sitters are unavailable, we will refund your placement fee.
Easy Process To Become a Member
- Complete the application by selecting Client Sign Up or Get Started
- You will receive an automatic email response stating that we received your application with a payment link to pay the annual $45.00 membership fee and a link to the parent agreement.
- Once we receive the annual membership fee and the parent agreement is signed, you will receive another email stating that your account has been activated.
- Every year on your membership anniversary date, PayPal will automatically charge your account, and your membership will renew. If you do not want this to happen, please let us know, and we will stop the charge from happening and deactivate your account.
- Click Login to submit a babysitter request
- Upon submitting your sitter request you will receive an automatic email with a link to pay a placement fee to PCS.
- Once your placement fee is paid and the babysitter is assigned to your job, you will receive a confirmation email with a brief bio about the sitter and their picture.

About Kim – Owner
In 2000, my husband and I made the big move from West Virginia to Apex, NC so that my husband and I could continue our careers; me as a special education teacher and my husband as a CPA. I had a fantastic five years teaching in the Wake County school system. In 2005, our first child was born, and I began a new chapter as a stay-at-home mom. Our second child arrived three years later, bringing us even more joy. Although being at home with my kids was wonderful, I missed teaching. That’s when I started tutoring children in my home. As my little tutoring business grew, I needed a reliable babysitter to watch my children. I wanted someone to play with them, help with homework, and take them to activities. Like many other moms, I’ve always been very particular about who takes care of my children. I’ve been lucky to find some great sitters, but they would eventually leave for college or move away. When that happened, I wished there was a way to find a reliable, trustworthy babysitter for me, which led to the creation of Peak City Sitters in 2015.
